Serenity Circle - June 2019
Welcome to June's Serenity Circle. We are a Collaborative group from various parts of the world. The circle represents a wide range of photography genres with the common theme being serenity moments experienced and captured during the past month.
Today was the first dry day in ages and I planned a nature photo session later in the evening. I actually created a video last week which shows the location where I shoot the majority of my nature images. You can view the short video right here if you like: IGTV - my favourite location for shooting nature images.
If you watched the video, can you spot where I captured all of the images in this post quite recently? Apart from the fir tree photo that is - it was captured during winter on the edge of a forest. Some of the trees and plants are perhaps more obvious than others in the clip, but I promise they were all captured within the location shown on the video.
Next in the circle is a photographer whose work I really enjoy viewing - Amy L Smith, from Anchorage, Alaska. Please check out what Amy has to share this month in her post: "There's more than corn in Indiana" and continue to follow the circle around.

I enrolled on a workshop by Kathleen Clemons a while ago which taught me a lot about what to look for when shooting flowers - especially when it comes to backgrounds, and I find I can apply the same teaching to the type of macro I shoot as well. Love Kathleen Clemons' work, and especially love her close up macro. I have tried this kind of macro myself, but I just cannot pull it off and therefore need to enrol on a workshop. I totally respect those who can shoot for this style because it's an amazing skill. I have a macro workshop in mind which I believe would help me and have wanted to take it for forever, but always something seems to crop up to prevent me which is frustrating. The tutor is an amazing macro teacher and many of my online friends have taken this particular workshop with amazing results. One such friend is Iris Nelson (you must check out her macro work on her IG account - it's #irisnelson_photo). You will see why I want to take the workshop.
Thanks again for dropping by the website. I really appreciate you looking and taking the time to leave a comment. Really thoughtful and appreciated.
