"I can smell autumn in the breeze.
The sweet chill of pumpkin
and crispy sunburnt leaves."

Photography has been really challenging these past few weeks. The stormy weather experienced all over the UK has left us with dull and extremely overcast skies - not at all inspiring and anything but serene.
It was fast approaching the 3rd Wednesday of the week, when a group of photographers - myself included - come together and share moments of calm captured during the course of the month. Help! I certainly wasn't feeling calm or serene when I realised our project was a couple of days away and the weather, as aforementioned, was making it difficult for outdoor photography! So what is a girl to do to overcome such difficulties and restore some equilibrium....?
..... Tee hee.... soft box to the rescue and serenity restored, lol! My image may not be a serenity scene as such, but it was calming being able to carry on shooting photography under the circumstances. I used my Lensababy Velvet 56 lens and applied a textured painterly effect in post processing to achieve the old-worldly result I was after.
What action have you taken recently to overcome a stressful situation and regain a sense of calm?
