Serenity Circle - March 2018

Welcome to the Serenity Project - a collaborative blog circle made up of photographers who come together to post every third Wednesday of the month on the subject of “Serenity.” The photography genres we post often vary and may include landscapes, still life, macro, etc.... simple moments where we have individually found peace and calm during the course of the month.

Above is one of my favourite places to go for a leisurely walk. It's so peaceful here and just the place I go to when I want to reflect or simply relax. Although the park is often busy, the walk around the pond itself is usually quiet at this time of the year - apart from the odd walker or keep fit enthusiast out for an early morning or evening jog.

Next in the circle is Maibritt Olsen, Fine Art Photographer from Houston Texas. Please click here to visit Maibritt's post and enjoy what she has to share this month.

What a lovely, serene location! I love how you've kept the arch of the branch at the top of the frame as if it hugging this location. Beautiful image, Wendy!
Wendy, this is so very beautiful! I love the colors and framing. This does look like a wonderful place for a walk!

Thank you Eileen. There isn't a lot of colour around the lake at present, but there are still a few trees where the leaves have clung on over winter - even though they are very dry and crispy to look at - they do add a little splash of colour.

I can totally see what you mean by peace and calm in this place. It looks wonderful and I can see myself sitting there just relaxing. Gorgeous image, Wendy.

Thank you Iris! A little bench to sit on at the top of the lake here would be lovely. The only bench there is sits at the bottom end of the lake where the ducks gather.

There isn't much colour at this time of the year Jillian and you have to take it where you can find it, but spring is around the corner and that will soon change :D
