Little deer

Sometimes God gives us moments to cheer the heart when he knows we are aching, just as He did when I watched this little French boy feeding deer in Glencoe today (kind permission granted by parents).

Yesterday, we laid my dear mum to rest.  After a long illness, she passed away peacefully in her sleep on 27th December 2017.  I miss her terribly.  Not being able to speak to her every day is so painful.  However, mum would want us all as a family to take one day at a time and that is what we are doing at the moment.

I just know mum would have loved to have watched a scene like the one above because she was so fond of children and animals.  She devoted her life to my sister, my two gorgeous nieces and myself and I will always be eternally grateful for her.

Such a beautiful image Wendy, such a sweet little deer! I'm so sorry about your Mum but she passed away so peacefully. Keep taking each day one day at a time and one day you will wake up and realise that you feel a little stronger xx

Thank you Jillian. It is so difficult right now trying to adjust and as a family, we are only able to take things one day at a time. It's so much more difficult for my sister who nursed mum throughout her illness and for the girls who were with their Nana every day. My own pain over mum's passing is sore, but I cannot imagine what they are all going through.
