Wife, nature fan, bookworm, and hobbyist photographer - that's me, Wendy May!

I'm a low-light photographer with a leaning towards deep rich colours, tones and shadows.  My favourite genres include still life, nature and macro photography.

"To me, photography is an art of observation. It’s about finding something interesting in an ordinary place.  I've found it has little to do with the things you see and everything to do with the way you see them.” - Elliott Erwitt

  • Colour blind!  Ha ha.... a colour blind photographer - imagine that, but it's true!  I have an issue with various shades of red, green, purple and brown.
  • Ambidextrous!
  • Left handed.... but I'm not alone!  My husband, three step children, brother-in-law and sister-in-law, are all left handed, plus my late mother-in-law and father-in-law were too!  Tee hee - wonder what the chances of that are?
  • Talking about coincidences, I once found 3 x four leaf clovers in the space of half an hour!  I've since looked for another many times but never found any.
  • Introvert with extrovert tendencies, i.e. I enjoy the company of others, but equally enjoy time on my own (to recover, tee hee)!  😂
