Watching the leaves turn

"Everyone must take time to sit and watch the leaves turn." -- Elizabeth Lawrence

Went for a photo walk whilst Finn was having a nap this afternoon. I take the opportunity for a little time to myself whenever I can because I don't get a moment's peace when Finn's awake! He's a cute bundle of energy and very typical of a 6 month old Labrador, i.e. into everything and up to no end of mischief!

I didn't stay out for long however because it was really cold and damp from all the recent rainfall plus it was starting to get windy. Was just thinking that we will soon have to dig out our winter woollies!  Can you believe it or am I the only one thinking this year is passing quickly?

Beautiful contrast and colours Wendy! You're not the only one, where has this year gone!! I wanted to shoot poppies and cherry blossoms this spring but I blinked and suddenly we're in September! How did that happen?!

Not sure if its an age thing? The older I get, the quicker the seasons seem to merge into one another. Either that or we just take time to notice these things.

This is one of my favourite 'recent' images.
